DAILY PRACTICE 1

NEW CONCEPT: IRREGULARS

MATCH IT

spanish verb tenses overview introduction intelengua

MAKE SURE TO SAY ALL THE SPANISH FORMS ALOUD, AND SAY THEM WITH THE RIGHT RHYTHM (I.E., FIND THE LOUDEST SYLLABLE).

REMEMBER THAT A FEW VERBS IN ENGLISH (ESPECIALLY "BEING" AND "HAVING") HAVE A FEW RESTRICTIONS AND GAPS IN SEVERAL TENSES (YOU WOULD NEVER ASK "DID HE BE GOOD?" OR "WAS HE HAVING A CALCULATOR DURING THE TEST?"). SPANISH DOES NOT HAVE THESE GAPS OR RESTRICTIONS, SO MATCHING REQUIRES FILLING THE ENGLISH GAPS WITH FUNNY-SOUNDING FORMS (THAT LOGICALLY SHOULD BE THERE).
